POLICE SM

Evolved from the POLICE III, POLICE SM was designed to the specific requirements of battlefield medicine and medical rescue corps. The blade has a plain grind and tanto tip that for a cleaner and more precise cut. The emergency blade (belt-cutter) can be spring-opened by pressing a button on the handle and automatically locks into position after opening; it has a rounded tip to prevent accidental injury. The Anticorodal anodized aluminum handle features wide openings to better rinse it clean from blood, sand or organic matter. The back of the handle holds a slot for a special scalpel, allowing trained personnel to perform emergency surgery. The scalpel head snap-fits into the slot and is easily removed thanks to a sliding switch on the handle. The POLICE SM is also equipped with a bistable-switch operated LED light, directing its beam at the scalpel tip to perform emergency surgery in low-light conditions.
